Creating 5 New Nutrition Habits

Habit Cards:
Each week you will receive one new habit to create for a total of 5 habits! There will be no points, no tracking, no counting calories or body fat tests; the purpose is to take the month of March as a starting point for creating all new habits when it comes to your nutrition.

There will be complimentary habit cards available around the gym, at the front desk, and in the studios. Pick up a new card once a week for each new habit. Your habit card will have the basics on getting started.

Hang these cards on your fridge, bathroom mirror or wherever else you will see them every day as a reminder.

I’ve been a member at the Gym of Castle Rock for many years, and I’ve participated in several challenges that this gym puts on every year. This year I entered a Max Burn 12 Days of Christmas Challenge that ended on Christmas Eve, and WON! For the first time ever, I actually lost a few pounds over the holiday season! I believe that the extra focus I put into winning this Max Burn Challenge gave me the motivation I needed to keep off the dreaded holiday weight gain. BigSHOUT OUTto the trainers at the Gym at Castle Rock, as I couldn’t have done it without their support, guidance and positive feedback.

I LOVE the new Max Burn Program! I am able to set my own personal goals with the My Zone app and hold myself accountable for my workouts, calories, etc. Throughout the month of December I actually burned over 13,000 calories! The new Max Burn Program, and the excellent trainers, have helped me to take my daily workouts to another level, and I’m loving it!

“I signed up for The Gym’s 10,000 Kettlebell Swing Challenge and going into it I was a little skeptical. My back is always sore, so I wasn’t sure if swinging a Kettlebell would be good for me. What a great job our Paleo Reset Challenge Winners did! 30 days of better eating has definitely changed the way they think about food, how they perform in their workouts and last but not least how they look! I couldn’t be more proud of everyone who participated.

The Gym Fitness Center of Castle Rock & CrossFit Castle Rock are EXCITED to announce our first ever RUN CLUB!

This program is designed to get you fit, while having a great time and creating lasting friendships! ALL levels of runners are welcome!

The goal is to create a FUN, welcoming and fitness-minded atmosphere for both the seasoned runner and the new running enthusiast!

To start we will meet once weekly. Depending upon attendance and participation we can always increase the number of meetings per week.

In addition to fostering camaraderie and motivating one another, we will train for local running events such as 5k races, mud runs, marathons and obstacle course races.

This course is designed for students new to belly dance or seeking a belly dance refresher. No dance experience necessary. Students will learn basic belly dance technique, including posture, movement isolation, traveling steps, simple combinations & beginning level finger cymbal instruction with breakdown of musical timing & simple dance combinations. Class will include a brief introduction to the history, context, and philosophy of belly dance and provides students with a solid foundation to build upon.
Class will end with yoga, stretching and core cool down.

RENOVATIONS

The MENS locker room will be CLOSED on Moday 1/20/14 from 8am – 4pm for renovations.  We are EXPANDING the mens locker facilities & adding lockers & benches.  The locker room will ONLY be unaccessable for 1 day, however the renovations will take 1 week to complete.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to improve of facilitites and make THE GYM the best Wellness and Fitness Facility in Castle Rock!

Corebar FIT™ (Functional Integration Training) is the intermediate intensity Corebar class where we pay more attention to mobility training and functional flexibility in combination with core and strength exercises.
It is a tough, energetic and FUN class, with smaller amounts of high impact training as jumping and running. The Core, Strength & Mobility part is dynamic and intense.
The class always starts with a technique practice, so the actual training time is 50- 55 minutes.

Corebar HIT is the ultimate high intensity cardio and core class to take you to your potential! 60 minutes non-stop super sweat! Corebar HIT is extremely intense, energetic, playful, diverse, deliberate, focused and FUN!
