I have been married for almost 11 years and have a 9-year old son and 6-year old daughter. I have spent my entire career in the Finance/Investment industry. I’m an avid golfer but not a very good one!<br> <strong>What were you doing before CrossFit- </strong>A lot of running and I also took a few years of Krav Maga (Israeli self-defense which incorporates Muy-Thai, boxing, and Jiujitsu)<br> <strong>What were your thoughts after your first crossfit workout-</strong> This is terrible… where is the bucket?<br> <strong>What were your goals when joining crossfit- </strong>To slim down; lose inches but not necessarily weight<br> <strong>Have you achieved any of those goals- </strong>Absolutely, lost about 3 inches off the waist but have more to go. More importantly, Crossfit has helped me to keep it off<br> <strong>Has crossfit affected your life outside the gym- </strong>Sure- I feel like it has improved my golf game substantially through added flexibility and distance. I also enjoy the family atmosphere and social aspect of our gym; social events, Friday-Night Fights, etc.<br> <strong>Any advice for people getting started-</strong> Pace yourself!
