Gone are the days we only see Andrew once a month, he has become a 6 day a week kind of guy. Putting in some extra time has improved his mobility and has only made him harder to catch! Not only do we love having Andrew in our daily classes but we also appreciate the hard work he has put into making the gym look so great! (he has painted the entire facility) Thanks for being you Andrew! </p> <p><strong>Name:</strong> Andrew Leiner<br> <br> <strong>When did you start cross fitting:</strong> October 2011<br> <br> <strong>Favorite wod :</strong> Bruck<br> <br> <strong>Least favorite wod:</strong> Anything with OHS<br> <br> <strong>Favorite lift:</strong> Deadlift/Squat Clean<br> <br> <strong>Least favorite lift:</strong> OHS<br> <br> <strong>Tell us bit about yourself (family, job, sports, military interest etc..) :<br> </strong>I own a small painting company here in Castle Rock… I played soccer as a kid and in high school. When I was 20 I moved from Illinois to Oregon where I started climbing shortly after. I got pretty hooked on climbing and actually lived out of a few vehicles for many years, traveling around and climbing, and getting chased by park rangers :)<br> <br> <strong>What were you doing before CrossFit:</strong> Rock Climbing and Visiting the Local Watering Holes.<br> <br> <strong>What were your thoughts after your first cross fit workout: <br> </strong>Well I remember it was a running WOD that involved a mile run, and Boss Kid (Spencer) suggested I just run a half mile…. I was thinking “little punk” I have more miles on my climbing shoes than you do on your sneakers 😉 I ran the mile anyway 🙂 and probably threw up afterwards.<br> <br> <strong>What were your goals when joining crossfit:</strong> Stop partying so much, get away from routine, and stay in shape for climbing in the off season, but then I found out that CrossFitters like to party to, so that didn’t work out ;)….<br> <br> <strong>Have you achieved any of those goals:</strong> <br> I have definitely achieved my goals and then some. CrossFit is a convenient way for me to maintain my fitness as it’s only five minutes from home. In the past I relied on climbing to stay fit, as my business grew, it made it harder for me to find time to climb at the level I wanted to. CrossFit has turned into a lifestyle and something I look forward to everyday.</p> <p><strong>Has crossfit affected your life outside the gym: <br> </strong>Yes, mostly because I stay up until 11 o’clock every night waiting for the WOD to be posted. I’d probably get more sleep if it was posted earlier ;)<br> <br> <strong>Any advice for people getting started:<br> </strong>Listen to the trainers, we have a great coaching staff. Don’t worry about Rx, technique comes first, numbers come second.
