Name… Carolann and Adam Budge
When did you start CrossFitting… May 2012
Favorite wod… Carolann – Anything with Snatches, Deadlifts, T2B, Bar muscle up (if its only one or two, just got them) Adam – Anything where I can do more wait than Carolann.
Least favorite wod… Carolann – Anything with running or wall balls. Adam – Anything with lots of body weight movements.
Favorite lift… Carolann – Front Squat and Snatch, Adam – Dead lift.
Least favorite lift… Carolann – SDHP. Adam – ThrustersTell us bit about yourself (family, job, sports, military interest etc..)… We met about 10 years ago and have been married for 8 years. We are in the process of adopting 2 children. We love spending time with the crossfit community, at our church, with family, and friends. Carolann loves horses which means Adam does too.

What were you doing before CrossFit.. The couch stretch… lots of couch stretching.

What were your thoughts after your first CrossFit workout… Carolann – “That’s funny because one of the first WOD’s I did was something with 50 good morning’s and I left the Gym saying oh that wasn’t too bad… Until the next day and then I wanted to die I hurt so bad, I couldn’t sit on the toilet, tie my shoes, sneeze you know the usual. Adam – The first WOD I did was Murph and I seriously thought I was going to die when it was over. I remember resting for 20 minutes after I finished and then trying to drive home and the whole time i kept thinking I don’t if I am going to make it or if I am going to pass out and wreck this truck. Looking back it was a poor decision to try to drive.

What were your goals when joining CrossFit… Carolann – Look gooder naked. Adam – Keep coming, slowly get better.

Have you achieved any of those goals… Carolann – “YES” -Adam Adam – I think so I can actually RX a WOD and I’m not talking RXing womens weight either, so yes.

 

Has CrossFit affected your life outside the gym…. We have developed a lot of good friends through CrossFit

Any advice for people getting started… Make this something you can do for the rest of your life, so start out slow and get the correct foundation. You will never stop being sore.

Some of your recent accomplishments… Carolann – Bar muscle ups and I beat Belinda once by one rep (I think she was sick). Adam – 135# over head squat.
